Is medicine an art or a science? This question strikes back perpetually these days. As physicians, we have to follow the guidelines and recommendations. We have to track the evidence from the prospective trials. And finally, we have to incorporate the new developments into clinical practice—all of these sums in the patients’ outcomes.

But what about the fringe? What should we do if the outskirts of knowledge are reached?

We have to find the answers.

Prostate, breast and skin cancer recurrence after radical treatment is one of the trending topics lately. There is an instant need to treat such patients. Despite the constant development in the field, the treatment of the relapsing disease remains controversial and unsettled. Recommendations are scarce, data are inconsistent, and the experience is restricted to a few. It gives new hope for our patients, but for us who conduct the treatment, it may be a journey to the unknown. That’s why we should share our experiences and educate each other.

We bring you a unique chance to meet and listen to the experts sharing their observations and practice. We have invited physicians from Europe renowned for their research on local recurrence treatment.

The conference received ESTRO endorsement (ESTRO – Endorsed congresses) and is held under the patronage of the Polish Society of Radiation Oncology, the Polish Urological Association, the Polish Brachytherapy Society, the Silesian branch of the Polish Radiation Research Society and the Silesian branch of the Polish Society of Oncology.

The event is held under the patronage of the Maria Sklodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology in Gliwice and National Consultant for Radiation Oncology – prof. Krzysztof Składowski MD, PhD.

The event will follow current COVID-19 regulations and the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate recommendations.
